Welcome Back! This month we will discuss strategies, secrets, and tips to get you closer to your skincare goals. In this entry, we will go over facial care tips and tricks.

Let’s discuss how we cleanse our faces and what we use to cleanse our faces. There are many options for items we may use to clean our facial area, and items can range from things as gentle as our hands, to cloths, to cleansing tools such as facial spin brushes. Regardless of which you prefer, we must start clean.

Before touching your face, your hands should be clean. Starting with clean hands reduces the risks of unnecessary dirt, germs, or bacteria from transferring to your face. Next, if using an item such as cloths or a spin brush, please ensure that those are clean before starting.

Okay, now that part is over, we can get to the healthy skin beauty secrets, tips, and hacks from yours truly at Luxury Boulevard®. We are now at the stage of actually cleansing our faces. 

Most of us use cloths to cleanse our skin. Good or bad? Actually, it depends on different factors such as texture, color, and material. First, if using a cloth, pure cotton is one of the best materials for our skin. Cotton is very soft, and it is naturally grown from the Earth. (Fun Fact: Did you know that cotton is vegan/plant-based?)

Now let’s get to color. Towels or cloths with colors, dyes, and pigments are not recommended because they can cause unwanted breakouts or irritation. Instead, use a clean unpigmented towel or Luxury Boulevard® Premium Cotton Face Cloth to clean or pat skin dry. Just as a friendly reminder, do not use the same towel to cleanse the face that you have used on your body. The reasoning is that our facial area is more sensitive than other skin regions on our body and does not want to encourage breakouts from dirt, germs, or bacteria.
